A Fresh New Start

Last August one of us brought a little one into this world and began her family's exciting new journey. We decided that our business can only be complete with both of us and so we took the year off (mostly)from the crazy schedules, vendor deadlines and battling our printers.

We recently had the opportunity to get together and discuss our business - where it's headed, where it's been, what we've enjoyed the most, what we'd like to change, and where we can improve. It was pretty conclusive that we both LOVE seeing the bride on her wedding day, watching the guests oooh and aaaah over the reception, knowing that we had some small part in making it happen. But we also remember those times freaking out as the florist dumped off a bucket of uncut stems and said, "Sorry, I'm not getting paid to put them together." I'm sorry, what? We recall how stressed out we were when the caterer showed up 3 hours late! How freaked out we were when a centerpiece caught on fire! Our desire to create the perfect invitation suite hasn't gone anywhere either. We both adore watching a bride's face light up when she pulls the final proof from the box and says, "They are exactly what I wanted." But we also think back to hours and hours of manipulating a computer program to do it the way we want it. We can't help but laugh at the frustration we had when the printer delivered our proofs and they weren't right....two days before the expected delivery date.

And now, we are starting a new chapter, both in our personal lives and our business lives. We are crafty girls, there's no doubt about that. And while one of us is busy sewing burp cloths and baby blankets, the other is working on organizing her life as sports, concerts, conferences, and other stuff take up more and more of her time. With the introduction to Pinterest and our mutual addictions to it, we are exploring more and more of our creative abilities. So while we are maintaining our wedding planning and paper design business we'd like to start introducing you to everything else we can do as well.
